about me
I studied at the Italia Conti Stage School for the Performing Arts for three years as a teenager. On leaving, I embarked on a journey as a singer which would see me co-writing and recording songs, performing live gigs both in the UK and New York, having one of my songs put out on a white label and doing further recording in New York. During this time, I acted in a couple of mainstream shows in the UK, namely Our Friends In The North, which starred Malcolm McDowell, and Bugs 4 where I was a stand-in for the lead actress, Paula Hunt. I also appeared in a music video for Boy George at this time.
In 2001, I returned to drama school to study acting, this time as a post-graduate student at the London Centre for Theatre Studies. Since 2001, I have acted in several well-known plays, including Time And The Conways, Love's Labours Lost and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
New plays I've performed in include One Step Closer and Rage, Inc, written by the published American author, Le Wilhelm. I appeared in the latter in New York after spending time studying method acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. In 2006, I joined Le Wilhelm's theatre company and also appeared in a video for Snow Patrol whilst living in NY.
In November 2007, I worked as a supporting artist on Robert Carlyle's new film, I KNOW YOU KNOW, for two days, which was great as he is my favourite actor. I have been a member of BAFTA since 2000.
I have now set up my own theatre company in the UK. Please see Tapestry Theatre Company for more info.
